Himpunan Sejuta Belia (One Million Youth Gathering 2011)

ABandoned Babies Awareness Campaign (ABBA)

OrphanCARE continues to actively create awareness, especially among the youth and one such event is the Himpunan Sejuta Belia which will be held in Putrajaya.  We believe this will be the perfect platform to initiate awareness towards our cause especially among the youth.

Date: 27th, 28th, 29th May, 2011

Time: 10.00 am – 10.00 pm

Place:  Booth No. C15, Precinct 4, Putrajaya

We have lined up an exciting awareness programme for the 3 day event, with 135 volunteers, which will involve:

a) Demonstration of a  Mock-up Baby Hatch

b) ‘Abandoned Baby Awareness ’ Hunt with Celebrities

c) Walk-athon and Cycle-athon (open to public)

Official OrphanCARE merchandise will also be available at our booth.

What you’ll be doing

As Operations Assistant, you will work closely with the Management Executive to provide administrative and operational support.   This entry-level role is an outstanding opportunity to work with different areas in the organisation and for you to develop your career with us.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is passionate about our cause
• Has excellent telephone manner with the ability to handle calls of high volume
• Is able to develop rapport with people of different background
• Can work in a fast paced environment, eager to learn as much as possible and have great enthusiasm when working to strict deadlines
• Is IT savvy, has excellent Microsoft office skills and proficient with data entry
• Communicates well and articulate in both Bahasa Malaysia and English
• Has the ability to be a team player and self-driven to work independently
• Is willing to work on Saturdays with the flexibility to take a day off during the week
• Ideally has good design skills
• Possess their own transport

The Annual General Meeting for all registered members will be held at 11am on Sunday, 27th March 2011 at the OrphanCARE Centre.

OrphanCARE will be at the 3rd Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2011. Have fun at the fiesta and visit our booth.  See you there!

Venue:  Area C, Booth 18 at Monumen Alaf Baru, Precinct 2, Putrajaya.

Have fun at Putrajaya’s International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2011 and help raise awareness for a good cause!  There will be a volunteer briefing this Saturday 12th March at 2pm for those interested to help out at our booth in Putrajaya next weekend (19th and 20th March 2011).  Volunteers are needed to help distribute brochures and help sell OrphanCARE T-shirts at designated time slots/day.  Call us if you are not able to attend the briefing but available to help out.
