OrphanCare, Every Childs Needs a Family

  • OrphanCARE Malaysia is on Facebook
  • OrphanCARE Malaysia is on Twitter

Our beloved OrphanCARE President Dato’ Adnan Mohd Tahir passed away suddenly on 12th February 2011, leaving his wife Datin Elya Lim Abdullah and three children.

Dato’ Adnan set up OrphanCARE in 2009 and was the driving force behind the establishment of the country’s first baby hatch in May 2010.

He will be greatly missed by all our members. We have lost our beacon of light but will continue to give our best towards achieving OrphanCARE’s objectives which are to give every abandoned baby and orphan a loving home.

Moga-moga rohnya dicucuri rahmat.

Al-Fatihah.

I didn’t know Adnan for long. It was the OrphanCare project that brought me into the world of Adnan and Elya, three years ago.

OrphanCare was one of many passions for Adnan. Always, in following the difficult tasks, unexpected twists and turns, joys and disappointments that his missions took us to, he showed sincerity, humility, and patience. Always encouraging, smiling, yet firm and resolute. We have lost a good man, a towering example, and a great friend.

I have never regretted joining the work of OrphanCare, and I am glad, for Adnan and all the others, that it has got off the ground successfully. He will be missed, but we will continue to carry on his good work, with his memory to spur us on. May Allah bless him and guide us in continuing his mission.

Allah Yarham Adnan is a man of charitable heart. He has left his marks in many NGOs. Helping them in their organization and many he played the key role. For those who know him will agree with me when i say “He is The Man” . He has triggered many of us to be steadfast and persevere in doing voluntary works that turned out to be difficult at times or perhaps most of the time. For those who haven’t such experience try to see if you could lend a hand to someone who you don’t know along the street without question or be choosy. Time that you should be spending with family and love one you spent with people you do not know and you don’t expect return. It doesn’t end there; many other sacrifices too: effort, energy, sleep, even money to name some. Our beloved friend Adnan has done just that and many more till the very last of his life.. Now for us to follow his foot steps and carry on his passion.. To his wife Elya May Allah grant you and your children His Compassion, by forgiving him, raise his rank among those who are rightly guided and his grave spacious for him and give him light in it.

I didn’t get to know you for very long,
But the kindness you had on me was strong,
Championing causes, making right of what is wrong,
Your deeds will echo thru eternity, though you have not lived for very long.
